Job description:

Paramount Landscaping is a innovative young landscape company taking the industry by storm. Do you have what it takes to build and be an innovator. We pride ourselves on customer satisfaction, quality and innovation. We are looking for a hard-working individual to lead our construction department. This position is for a hands-on leader who has at least 5 years of experience in all aspects of hard and soft landscaping, with a minimum 3 years as a supervisor. You will need knowledge of start to finish on the completion of a construction project. Quoting could be included in your job duties. The candidate must excellent communication skills, an imagination and great customer service qualities.

This position is full-time year round 50-55 hours per week.

  1. * Minimum 3 years' experience as a Supervisor, 5+ years in landscape construction
  2. * Able to schedule and execute all aspects of a landscape project
  3. * The ability and confidence to lead and direct a team
  4. * Experienced skidsteer operator
  5. * Experienced in all aspects of hardscaping and softscaping
  6. * Possess a strong work ethic and be highly motivated.
  7. * Assist in the preparation of jobsites
  8. * Operate various tools and equipment
  9. * Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry materials
  10. * Build patios, garden walls, and other decorative installations
  11. * Face, size, cut, and lay stones
  12. * Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
  13. * Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis
  14. * Safety-focused and able to guide crew members on best practices.
  15. * First-aid training or other certifications are definite assets.

Requirements:

  1. * Completion of high school, some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
  2. * Must have a portfolio and 3 references from job sites you have worked on
  3. * Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
  4. * Effective communication skills (both verbal and written
  5. * Time management skills
  6. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  7. * Must possess a valid driver's license
  8. * Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices
  9. * Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  10. * Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time

  2. * Assist with installation of plants, trees, bushes, garden installation, sod and mulch.
  3. * Assist with routine maintenance and daily inspections of vehicles, machines and equipment.
  4. * Exercise good customer service and foster customer relations by meeting client requests and concerns in a timely, friendly and courteous manner.
  5. * Additional duties as required and/or assigned.
  6. * In all aspects of work participate within a culture that emphasizes continued learning and growth. Participate in active training and self-improvement.

Job and Skill Requirements:
